Eagle Scout candidate Chase Cunningham gave back to his community with a project designed to offer rest, reflection, and appreciation. For his Eagle Scout project, Chase constructed two new wooden benches for public use outside the Papillion Volunteer Fire Department Museum.

The museum, which honors the long-standing tradition of volunteer firefighting in Papillion, serves as both an educational site and a point of local pride. Chase saw an opportunity to enhance the space by providing sturdy, well-crafted seating for visitors, families, and community members to enjoy.

Each bench was built from quality materials with careful attention to detail, blending form and function to complement the historic setting. The benches now offer a comfortable spot to sit, reflect, and enjoy the museum grounds—whether during events, quiet visits, or just a walk through downtown.

Chase’s project is a simple yet meaningful contribution, reflecting the Scout commitment to community improvement, thoughtful design, and everyday acts of service that leave a lasting impression.
