Eagle Scout candidate Connor Miller took on a project that brought fun and movement to his local community with the construction of a Gaga Ball pit at Overland Hills Park in Papillion, Nebraska.

To bring his vision to life, Connor coordinated with city park officials to secure approval and ensure the project met all requirements for public park use. Once plans were finalized, he led a team in building a durable, well-constructed play area designed for safety, accessibility, and long-term use.

Gaga Ball—a fast-paced, dodgeball-style game played in an enclosed octagonal pit—has become increasingly popular with children and teens. By adding this feature to the park, Connor created a space that encourages physical activity, social connection, and inclusive play for visitors of all ages.

Connor’s project exemplifies the values of Scouting—leadership, service, and giving back to the community—while leaving behind a lasting recreational resource for families in the Papillion area.

Beneficiary: City of Papillion Parks & Recreation
