Eagle Scout candidate Liam Prey demonstrated both craftsmanship and reverence in his Eagle Scout project by constructing a cement pedestal for a religious statue located in his church’s cemetery. The project serves not only as a physical foundation but also as a symbolic one—supporting a cherished representation of faith and memory within a sacred space.

The statue, which had long been a focal point for reflection and prayer, required a sturdier and more permanent base to withstand the elements and honor the significance of its placement. Liam led the planning, design, and construction of a reinforced concrete pedestal, carefully measured and poured to ensure both stability and aesthetic harmony with the surrounding grounds.

The work took place within the church cemetery, a place where many families gather to remember loved ones. Liam’s efforts provide a lasting improvement to this quiet space of reverence, making it more secure and visually grounded for future generations.

Rooted in service and spiritual care, Liam’s project reflects the core values of Scouting—leadership, respect, and a lasting commitment to community and tradition.
